Equity & Equality in Education  So this is my topic for the research, Equity & Equality in Education. I would like to focus on the Malaysian education system in depth. Rough Idea of the Research

The Challenges in Achieving Equity & Equality in Education  Concern: In Malaysia, there are multilingual population: Malay, Chinese, Indian and others ethnic groups. Equity and equality has been a sensitive issues for this culture. This matters have being discussed for a long time since 1951 in Barnes report where it more focusing on Malay Nationalism which not favored by other races. But then, the government allowing the vernacular schools to cater the needs of Chinese and Indian community. So generally rights to access to lower and secondary education in Malaysia is equals to all majority races. Then, we have Vision 2020 document which it predict a fully developed economy with national unity and social cohesion, social justice and political stability adhering to high standards of quality of life including social and cultural values.
